Dental Health Fair Meets Growing Need

The 2005 Children’s Dental Health Fair was held in February. This was our 5th annual fair with 2nd graders from up and down the Roaring Fork Valley.

February has been designated National Children’s Dental Health Month to honor the importance of knowledge and personal oral hygiene in preventing dental disease and saving teeth throughout a lifetime. Youngsters from Aspen and Basalt elementary schools once again participated.

  
 

The children, from diverse backgrounds, rotate through stations which include dental screenings, educational videos and games, and poster making. Hygienists in the community plus many enthusiastic volunteers gave their time.
